Oliver W. Wells began his musical career at the age of 3, composing his first ditty on the piano in his family’s home in Cocoa, Florida.
Since that time, he has performed all over the world in a wide variety of events and venues. From the age of twelve, being featured on the BOZO The Clown television program to creating the Atlanta SuperChoir, the first Gospel Choir to perform his music and choral arrangements at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland in 1991. He is a brilliant producer, gifted songwriter, and a sought-after session player in the genres of Gospel, CCM, Jazz, Pop and Rhythm & Blues.
His music has been performed and recorded by such exceptional vocalists as Whitney Houston, Philip Bailey, Maurice White and Earth Wind & Fire, Jean Carne, Sandi Patti, Larnelle Harris, Daryl Coley, Wintley Phipps, NewSong, The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and the Florida Mass Choir.
Wells is a 2000 Grammy Award Winner as A Producer of the Best Gospel Choir Or Chorus Album Category for the Album "Live - God Is Working" by The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir.
Though he is a seasoned veteran, his best work is still to come.
His latest single, "Those Ones,” will be released for worldwide distribution on September 25, 2024.
